We are meeting every other Saturday at our house for dinner, fellowship and home church.
I’ve had several emails ask me what does home church look like. First, being a born again believer in Jesus makes you a child of God. We are family, God is our Father, we are brothers and sisters. So with this in mind and following how the early church met in the book of Acts, we try to pattern our meetings in this way. Notice I said try. While we know a lot, there’s also a lot we don’t know about how they exactly met, and that’s ok. How or the structure of a meeting is not God, we don’t worship structure, we worship God and love one another. Our basic template is Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” So we meet in a home, we meet together for a potluck dinner and we fellowship for 60-90 minutes. After this we retire to the living room and have an open time of worship and then open prayer (open meaning anyone can pray but one at a time), the Lord’s supper and then we have a ministry. We close in prayer and that ends our meeting. Some people hang around to talk while others are ready to go home. If God is leading you to come out of the church system and meet simply in a home fellowship, reach out to me, Mike Pasatieri at tieri_76@yahoo.com.
A couple of notable events is the brother’s camping trip Nov 2nd, Nov 3rd and our annual Thanksgiving meal that we call “Friendsgiving” on Saturday Nov 23rd.
God Bless,
